Gadget Complete. Beers all Around!

Well, I don't actually *like* beer, so how about one of those fruity-beer concoctions called a "lambic"? While living in Spain, I often enjoyed a lovely raspberry one called Mort Subite -- for the Latin deficient, that means "Quick Death". Obviously, I didn't die from it, though.... Maybe I didn't drink enough?

Anyway, final Google Gadget delivered and posted and all that. Had the devil of a time with a little tag that looked like this: "" No idea what it means. Didn't bother to look it up. That would be cheating! At the end of it all, I'm not sure whether the gadget finally worked because of my ingenious placement of said tag, or if I had needed to adjust the height tag all along.

So here's to you, Mr. Google Gadget Editor. With the grace of Almighty God, I will never interact with you again. (Okay, okay. I'm willing to *watch* someone else use GGE, but that tiny window that I have to keep scrolling across just makes me nauseous....)

TTFN!

XML Spy

So, way back in the day, I built a "city" within Cities of Information (...ask Paul) all by hand in XMLSpy. Can I tell you what a pain that was?? But the nice thing, is that now all the Lumley-talk today is review. Also using JIRA and Confluence helped.

As a (really, let's be honest amongst ourselves) manager of tech projects, I have to say that the theoretical discussions of the applicability of Web 2.0 in various organization environments is much more relevant/usable to me that are the innards of html.

I want to talk more about Cloud Computing architectures....
